Optional actions in PEGA

--

Consider a scenario when a user places an order in an ecommerce application. Before completing the order, the user can cancel the order. These are known as optional actions in PEGA.

A series of steps that are not the usual path can be handled with an optional process. For eg: A travel application allows the customer to choose all their in-progress reservations; modify, confirm, or cancel each one; and decide whether the system keeps or deletes the details of canceled reservations.
